The DiscipleMakers headquarters building has electric locks that you unlock with an app on your smartphone. The app is called UniFi Endpoint, and it's free.

Getting Set Up
Install UniFi Endpoint on your phone or tablet.
Don't try to log in or scan a code. There is no password.
Watch for an email from UniFi with the subject Welcome to UniFi Identity! On the device where you installed the app, open that email and tap Get Started. That loads your credential, and the app is ready to use.
Next time you're at the HQ, unlock a door with it before you need it, so you know it works on your device.
On an iPhone or iPad you can say no to every permission the app asks for and it will still unlock doors. On Android, the app needs the permissions it asks for.
Unlocking a Door
- iPhone or iPad: tap Remote Access, then tap anywhere on the card for the door you want.
- Android: tap Doors, then tap the lock icon for the door you want.

The door unlocks for about five seconds — long enough to pull it open.
Once you've unlocked a door, then you need to take an extra step to keep it unlocked for the next person.
Ignore the Report an issue button in the app. It isn't connected to anything and doesn't work.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What if my smartphone or the app isn’t working?
A: Our door locks also accept traditional metal keys and building managers have them. Note: you don't need a working smartphone to lock up and close the building.
Q: Can people who aren’t DM HQ staff get access to the door locks?
A: Yes! Just request it through the DM staff person you know or contact the DM headquarters.
Q: What if someone needs to access the building and they don't own a smartphone?
A: UniFi Endpoint runs on iPhone, iPad and Android devices only — a laptop won't work. If you don't have one of those, email Systems. You can also use any phone to call someone when you arrive at the DM HQ and they can unlock the door for you remotely.
Q: I got a new phone, or I deleted the app. Now what?
A: Email Systems and ask for a new credential link. The old one was single use, so it won't get you back in.
Q: Who do I ask about any of this?
A: Email Systems at info@dm.org and they will help you out.
